Intermediate Data Technician

Caldwell and Levesque Limited, based in Auckland is a member of the Horizon Energy Group offering professional electrical, communications and Electronic Security services to the Auckland regional market (both public and private sectors). The business has been continuously and successfully trading since 1984 and currently employs in excess of 180 staff. Delivery of high quality workmanship and service is core to the value proposition of the business.

Caldwell and Levesque Limited is recruiting for an Intermediate Data Technician to join our growing team. This position is permanent full time.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking installations, programming, maintenance and service work (including Security and Access Control and Surveillance Systems) on a vast range of commercial, industrial and residential projects, ensuring projects are completed within defined deadlines.

To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Hold a certificate or degree in electronics, telecommunications technology, or related field or a minimum 2-3 years' experience equivalent in telecommunications technology and associated activities
  • Have a current NZ Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge of all appropriate industry rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of Telecommunications
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulatory requirements and safe work practices
  • Ability to drive a project/programme from concept through planning to completion meeting all time, quality and monetary requirements
  • A thorough demonstrated understanding of the processes and systems needed for the management of a safe working environment
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Motivated and focused on all deliverables and customer satisfaction
