AquaFire is recruiting for a Sprinkler Supervisor to join our growing team in Wellington. This position is permanent full-time.
We offer a competitive remuneration of $48.00-$55.00 per hour, in line with the experience you bring to the role.
Reporting to the Fire Sprinkler Manager, as a Sprinkler Supervisor you will:
- Direct and lead by example, through effective and motivated leadership the Fire Sprinkler Installation Team made up of Sprinkler Fitters, Apprentices, Trade Assistants and Specialist Subcontractors in line with the stated goals directed by the Sprinkler Manager and/ or Project Manager.
- Working along the Fire Protection Sprinkler Manager and/ or Project Manager in the day to day management and support the financial success of the projects you are working on.
- You will provide focus and support to ensure the Fire Sprinkler Installation Team provide a consistent, high quality, professional and efficient service to all our head contractors/ clients, ensuring highest levels of work and service quality, legislative compliance, and adherence to Company and head contractor/ client OH&S needs.
- You will continually strive to identify, implement and improve team effectiveness, efficiency, quality and occupational health and safety.
- You will build excellent business relationships with head contractors/ clients and all relevant parties to meet and exceed their expectations.
- You will positively contribute to the successful operation of the branch, championing ideas and initiatives when required/ requested.
To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications, experience and skills (not all are essential):
- Relevant professional or technical tertiary qualifications.
- Fire Sprinkler background with an understanding of design or estimating skills.
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in the Fire Protection industry preferable with a Sprinklers background in an installation environment.
- 5 years post trade experience.
- Knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations.
- Ability to scope and price Sprinkler remedial works, quoted jobs in the $5k to $50k range.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines with a diverse range of tasks to manage.
- A passion for maintaining a safe working environment.
- Experience working within OH&S guidelines.
