Aquaheat Facility Services is a premier provider of facility maintenance services being 100% New Zealand owned and operated with over 70 years of history providing a comprehensive range of facility maintenance services to a selected range of local government, commercial, industrial and infrastructure customers throughout New Zealand.

Our team provide HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical, Plumbing and Carpentry services to a variety of major clients that range from the education and government sector to commercial buildings and state of the art facilities across the country.

Aquaheat Facility Services Limited, based in Wellington, is recruiting for an Electrician.

The Electrician will be responsible for:

  • Efficiently, effectively, and safely carry out all electrical planned maintenance, reactive or remedial service work, fault diagnostics and installation work as requested.
  • Maintain electrical wiring, machinery, instrumentation and control systems and components to required specifications ensuring economy, quality, reliability, safety and sustainability.
  • Undertake commercial and industrial customer electrician duties to promote the successful delivery of projects.
  • At all times enthusiastically expedite all works in a professional and tradesman like manner to a level of quality that meets current accepted commercial/ industry standards.

To be successful, a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Registered Electrician with current EWRB NZ Practising Licence
  • Additional skills welcomed, i.e. Project Management, Electrical Inspector
  • Minimum of 2-5 years in associated activities
  • Commercial and industrial and installation experience preferred
  • Familiar with Low Voltage electricity systems and associated procedures an advantage
  • Knowledge of all appropriate Electrical industry rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of the appropriate NZS/AS Standards and Codes of Practice
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulatory requirements
  • Ability to study, understand and interpret wiring diagrams and floor plans
  • Able to produce as-built drawings
  • Trained in First Aid/CPR
  • Current NZ Driver Licence
