Horizon Networks is growing into a national services provider - and due to this exciting growth we are looking for a Line Mechanic to join our growing team in Palmerston North. This position is permanent full-time, 40 hours per week.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Installing, repairing and maintaining overhead and underground distribution systems.
- Assisting our streetlighting team in delivering projects and maintenance projects.
- Build strong long term relationships with our customers ensuring they see Horizon Networks as a preferred supplier with excellent customer servicew and technical support.
To be successful, a candidate is preferred to have the following qualifications, experience and skills, but not essential:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in directly relevant activities.
- Familiar with distribution systems and associated procedures up to and including 33kV
- Knowledge of tree compliance regulations and vegetation management procedures desirable
- Knowledge of all relevant industry rules and regulations including the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015
- Cable Jointing an/or switching experience a Bonus.
- Knowledge of street light maintenance is an advantage
- Strong lines construction skills with a focus on safety
- Practical skills, including the ability to use and care for equipment
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Ability to read and understand plans and maps
- General knowledge of traffic management requirements desirable
- Current unrestricted Manual NZ Driver Licence
- Heavy vehicle licence is preferable.
